On Saturday we dropped by our friends at Union Garage where they were hosting a belated grand opening party. This was also a joint 5-year anniversary celebration for Moto Borgotaro and Moto Pistole. Union Garage is known for their excellent selection of riding gear, Pistole specializes in unique upgrades and custom builds for Ducati, and Borgotaro focuses on restoration & repair for European vintage motorcycles.
As soon as I turned the corner to walk down Union Street I could see there were already DOZENS of bikes - and it was only an hour into the party! I saw so many great examples from Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Triumph, BMW, Kawasaki, and then a bunch of custom bikes. The sound from one when it pulled away was maybe the deepest and most MEAN sounding things I’ve ever heard in person besides NASCAR.
While checking out all the sights and sounds, people were grabbing food and ice-cold IPA’s to help beat the heatwave we’ve been having here lately in the city. The spicy crawfish addition to the standard BBQ fare was no joke, excellent all around!
